About the Photographer

While on a sabbatical leave from teaching, Gloria Golden studied photography with Jules Allen at Queensborough Community College. Her studies continued at the International Center for Photography in Manhattan. She also took courses at the Woodstock, Maine, and Santa Fe workshops.

Black and white photography is especially appealing to Gloria; it is more soulful and creates a particular mood. Although her photographs can include practically any subject matter, her greatest joy is in photographing people.

Gloria's goal is to discover what people are all about, through the lens of her camera. You can view several examples of her portfolio on her gallery  page. Gloria Golden has also published several books, including two written works  that contain her photographs.
